It would be near impossible for the name Bob Marley not to ring a bell. In fact, most everyone knows the lyrics to "Three Little Birds" by heart. And there's nothing more tranquil – excuse us, Irie – than floating pow to a heavy one drop and some of the world's most iconic reggae vibes. If you've never tried it, you're missing out. Well, West Viriginia reggae fans are in for a serious treat. Bob's long-time backing band – and lengendary reggae rockers in their own right – the Wailers, are coming to Snowshoe Mountain Resort on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013.

Concert tickets are limited to a run of just 500 and at $15 a pop, they'll be gone faster than you can say "Lively Up Yourself". The show will be located in the Shavers Centre, at The Connection Nightclub – Snowhoe's slopeside live music and party venue. Doors open at 8 p.m and the Wailers will take the stage at 9 p.m.

Together with Bob Marley, the Wailers have sold in excess of 250 million albums worldwide. In England alone, they’ve notched up over twenty chart hits, including seven Top 10 entries. Outside of their groundbreaking work with Marley, the Wailers have also played or performed with international acts like Sting, the Fugees, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, and Alpha Blondy, as well as reggae legends such as Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, and Burning Spear. As the greatest living exponents of Jamaica’s reggae tradition, the Wailers have completed innumerable other tours, playing to an estimated 24 million people across the globe. Makes being one of only 500 ticket holders at Snowshoe that much more exclusive.

Tickets can be purchased at Snowshoe ticket office or online at snowshoemtn.com.
