Celebrate the holiday season at Mammoth Mountain with their spectacular Night of Lights firework show on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012. The event began almost two decades ago and features a stunning lights display with Mammoth Mountain’s slopes as the backdrop. This family friendly event is free for all ages.

Guests are invited to ride up the complimentary Village Gondola to Canyon Lodge to enjoy the fireworks, torchlight parade and more.

Starting at noon, carolers will be wandering the shops in The Village. Then, at 3:00 p.m., there will be a free concert by Big Wednesday.

Between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. there will be several kid friendly activities such as sledding and Wooly’s Igloo & Snow Play Area near Canyon Express, Snowmobile Rides near Schoolyard Express, and face painting and caricature artists in Canyon Lodge. A magic show will also take place in Canyon Lodge at 4:00 p.m.

The Rooftop Viewing Area and Family Club Room opens at 5:00 p.m., and live music by Tommy Rocker kicks off at 5:15 p.m. Night of Lights, featuring a torchlight, laser and fireworks show begins at 6:45 p.m., and more live music starts back up at 7:20 p.m. with Tommy Rocker. Big Wednesday and roaming entertainers will continue the evening in The Village between 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The last gondola ride down to The Village is at 10:00 p.m.
