Skiing and riding (like most experiences) are best when you can enjoy it with friends. This season New Jersey skiers and riders can save big when they travel to the mountain with a posse, and the more they bring along, the better the experience for everyone.

Mountain Creek's Carload Thursdays start on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2013 and continue every week through Mar. 8, excluding Thursday, Feb. 23.

THE DEAL: To participate, friends must pre-purchase tickets online and print out a ticket voucher. Vouchers must be redeemed for lift tickets at the ticket window and can be picked up at anytime of the day.

THE STEAL: All the passengers in your car (maximum of 10) get a Full Day All Access Lift Ticket for just $99 total. That's just $10 bucks a person! Meaning you'll have enough money left to split a couple of pizzas. Heck, maybe even get 'em delivered to the lot.

The more people, the better the savings for everyone, so call up your friend with station wagon or A-team van and pack it to the gills. If you're thinking of out-smarting the system, Mountain Creek beat you to it. Passenger cars only -- that means no busses, cargo vans, moving trucks or commercial vehicles.

Plus, every Thursday is also college tubing night. Whether skiing or riding's not your thing or you just want to mix it up after last chair, head to the new Drop Zone Tubing Park between 4-7 p.m. Don't forget your college ID, you'll need to show it in order to save yourself $10 off of a 2 hour session. That's half off the normal rate, just for being a student. Bet you never thought a higher education would pay off so quickly.
