Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows offers several lift ticket deals this winter.

The first deal is for military personnel. All men and women in the armed forces can ski or snowboard for FREE this winter at Squaw and Alpine. This offer is valid any non-holiday Sunday through Friday (not valid Saturdays or the dates of Dec. 26-31, 2012, Jan. 19-20 2013 and Feb. 16-17, 2013). To redeem, an active duty military ID must be presented to the Guest Services and Sales Center at Squaw or Alpine.

College students are also invited to take a break from their studies and ski or snowboard Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows for cheap this winter. The Lake Tahoe resorts are offering $54 tickets during select dates throughout the season. To redeem the deal, students must register online. The lift tickets are valid on the following dates: January 6-11; 13-18; 21-25 and March 10-15, 17-22, 24-29 and 31-April 5.

The third deal is for people flying into Reno or Sacramento. Get to the mountain and ski for free 1 p.m until close, including night skiing if open. Present a commercial airline-boarding pass with the same day’s date and a valid ID card to the Guest Services and Sales Center and ski the rest of the day for free.
