Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley have teamed up with GoPro to enhance the ski and snowboard experience at both resorts by giving guests the opportunity to interact with video on and off the mountain. GoPro offers the world’s most versatile action video camera that is used by consumers, action sports professionals and video production professionals.

With the new partnership, GoPro and Snow Park Technologies (SPT) will team up to design and build a custom terrain park feature for Squaw’s Belmont park. SPT is the world’s leading terrain park development team and known for building features and courses for events such as X-Games and Dew Tour. The signature feature will be fit for all ability levels and will feature three boxes: a tall, flat box, an up-flat-down box and a low, flat box with an angle on the outside for side approaches. The boxes will be set up on an elevated platform that can be skied and snowboarded on to accommodate lower ability levels.

GoPro and Squaw will offer the Drop-In Video Zone at Rocker@Squaw in The Village, where guests can upload their GoPro footage and edit it using the real-time editing suite just steps away from the slopes.

In the future, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows will have video playback stations for the ski and snowboard schools and the ski and snowboard team programs to enable coaches and instructors the ability to give immediate feedback with the video.
