Freedom and discounts -- there's really nothing more that skiers and riders live for. Winter makes us wish every flurry would transform into a full-on blizzard, sick days could be infinitely redeemed and personal days didn't have to be wasted on things like family weddings and root canals. When we can't have ultimate freedom, discounts will do. We don't mind working our schedule around to get a good deal and cashing in on some cost effective turns. A deal like the Latitude Card from Tremblant gives you the best of both worlds.

The Latitude Card let's you ski or ride up to seven days for less than $50 a day (per adult). It also means that future visits to the mountain will be discounted by 30 percent. That's both serious flexibility and serious savings, but the freedom to secure this deal is limited, so get your hands on a Latitude Card before Dec. 4, 2012.

Latitude Card holders can use them for 2 to 7 days, which can be used throughout the season, where the lift ticket will run just $49.99 (or even less depending on age). Seniors ski 2 to 7 days for less than $45, Youths less than $40 and kids less than $30. Days included on the Latitude Card can be used at all times during the 2012-2013 season, excluding Dec. 27, 2012 to Jan. 3, 2013, when you can get up to 10 percent off. Once all initial days are used, the card entitles you to ongoing discounts of up to 30 percent during mid-week, 15 percent on Saturdays and 25 percent on Sundays.

The only choice left to make is when to hit the mountain. If you plan to spend most of your Holiday time on snow, grab a Holiday Latitude Card and ski or ride Dec. 27, 2012 to Jan. 3, 2013 for $71 a day. Better yet, stay during the holidays and combine your Latitude Card with a lodging package to enjoy First Tracks an hour before the crowds, everyday of your stay.
