There’s a first time for everything, and if you’re 50, Caberfae Peaks, in northwest Lower Michigan, is proud welcome you to into the senior ranks with some deals.

The ski resort just west of Cadillac, featuring 34 runs and 485 feet of vertical, achieved senior status some time ago and in fact turned 75 years old this year, making it the nation’s fourth oldest ski area. It’s offering skiers and boarders aged 50 and older a lift ticket, equipment rental, and a complimentary beginner lesson for $15 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through its Silver Streak package. Buy'em separately and it would cost you $93.

The beginner group lesson starts at 1:30 pm. Equipment rental and lessons are not required for the Silver Streak discount. 

Silver Streak is not valid during the holiday week and the discount is unavailable on Dec. 26 & 27, and Jan. 1, 2013.
