Everyone likes having options. Vermont's Northeast Kingdom has two options for skiing and riding, but each one offers some of the best terrain in the state. Whether you visit the steep chutes and expansive glades of Jay Peak Resort or Jay's newly-acquired sister mountain Burke Mountain Resort, you're in for an epic day on the hill. This season, the two mountains are offering the perfect pass for skiers and riders who like to mix it up. With the Great Big Kingdom Card, guests can spread the love across the Northeast Kingdom any three days this season, for one low price.
The Great Big Kingdom Card is available for just $169 until Dec. 24, 2012. The Card is redeemable for three days of unrestricted lift tickets valid at both Jay Peak and Burke Mountain.
This pass is fully transferable making it a great Christmas gift for another skier or rider on your list and at less than $60 a day, you won't feel bad about just grabbing one for your own stocking. Best of all, the lift tickets are valid at both resorts, allowing ambitious powder hounds to get first tracks on the Jay Peak tram and chase gates at sunset down Burke's race course steeps.
Cards can be purchased online, but must be picked up at Jay Peak Customer Service. Maximum 2 cards per person.
In May of 2012, Jay Peak annouced the purchase of Burke Mountain Resort. Among several long-term development and expansion plans for their new sister resort, Burke Mountain Resort saw a $1 million improvement to its snowmaking system including new high-efficieny snowguns and a new compressor. During the 2012/13 season, all lift tickets included in any Jay Peak lodging package are completely transferrable to Burke Mountain Resort.
