New Mexico's Taos Ski Valley is making it more affordable for the weekend warrior to hit the slopes this winter with the Taos Card. This discount card is loaded with deals for a whole day of skiing or riding. Skiers and snowboarders can save $17 on a single day ticket during the regular season (Dec. 15 – Mar. 31) and will receive a free lift ticket every seventh day.
Additional discounts include savings on ski school group lessons, purchases and demo rentals at Taos Ski & Boot Company, ski and board tune-ups at TSV Repair Shop, food and drinks at Rhoda’s Restaurant and a week-long holiday ski pass. If that’s not enough incentive, the Taos Card pays for itself on Taos’ closing day, Apr. 7, 2013, when all season passholders and Taos Card holders ski or ride for free.
The Taos Card is $30 for adults, seniors, children (ages 7-12) and teens (ages 13-17) if purchased between Nov. 22 and Dec. 14 or $60 if purchased after Dec. 14. The children and teen Taos Cards drop to $20 if activated with an adult Taos Card at any time. Children 6 and under ski free with the purchase of an adult lift ticket.
