For years, skiers and riders frequenting the slopes at Cranmore Mountain Resort have trusted the knowlege, expertise and general gear-savviness of the staff at Joe Jones’ Sun & Ski Sports in North Conway, NH. After a suspicious fire in October closed the store, causing minor damage to $1 million worth of apparel and accessories, shop-going regulars and nearby residents were left wondering who they'd turn to for the same high-quality service in the coming season. Thankfully, the building only suffered minor damage and thanks to support from their friends and neighbors, the store is back online just as the first chairs are beginning to spin for the season following the Thanksgiving holiday.

To kick off its re-opening, Joe Jones will be holding a Black Friday “Fire Sale,” offering significant discounts of 40%-70% on all merchandise in the store, much of which was affected by minor smoke damage.

The sale includes clearance items, which will be sold at up to 70% off their original prices. Equipment, while experiencing little or no damage, will be on sale as well, with savings of up to 40% off original prices.

This is a great opportunity for New Hampshire skiers and riders to grab last-minute supplies or upgrade their entire wardrobes and gear quivers at a bargain, before heading off to get their first turns of the season at Cranmore on Thanksgiving weekend. The resort is scheduled to spin their lifts for holiday guests from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 thru Sunday, Nov. 25.

Joe Jones’ Sun & Ski North Conway is one of four Sun & Ski stores in New England, including stores in Pembroke, MA, Avon, CT, and the newest store in Woburn, MA. Sun & Ski was named one of eight regional “Ski Retailers of the Year” by Ski Industry Association of America for the 2011/2012 ski season.
