Beer and skiing are natural companions. Whether you're tailgating on a powder day or hitting the slopeside taps for an aprés pint, beer perfectly quenches the thirst we feel after a hearty day on the mountain. No wonder Apres-ski has been such a staple of mountain culture. If you're into knocking back a few cold ones mountainside, grab your drinking buddies, or crew of powder hounds (chances are there's probably some overlap), and head up to Vermont's Smugglers' Notch for their 18th Annual BrewFest from Dec. 7-9, 2012.
To make the weekend even more appealing -- as if music, munchies and micro brews weren't enough -- Smuggs is offering a special SuperSaver lodging package that starts at just $125 per adult and includes lodging, lift tickets, use of pool and hot tubs, and more.
For those looking for a group lodging option, the group vacations package for the weekend starts at $139 per person and includes two nights lodging, a two day lift pass, entry to the BrewFest on Saturday night, and use of the indoor pool and hot tubs.
Just looking to drink? Entry at the door to the BrewFest is $18 and includes 8 tastings (over 25 varieties of local and regional microbrews available), a souvenir glass, munchie buffet and music from 6-10 pm in the Meeting House.
The current brewery line-up includes Vermont libarations from Long Trail, Otter Creek, Wolaver's, The Shed Brewery, Fiddlehead Brewery, Harpoon, and Red Hook (NH). More breweries will be announced soon.
