Some of us are old enough to remember ski weeks at the Midwest’s biggest resorts like Michigan’s Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands.

Guests would arrive in time for Sunday dinner, take lessons all week and head home before the weekenders arrived Friday. And, if you couldn’t make it an entire week, there was always the shorter-but-just-as-sweet daily rate.

That same Boyne treatment is still available when the snow starts in earnest, be it from Boyne’s array of snow guns, or what nature shakes from the sky.

Families can check in at either Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands and still take advantage of Boyne’s famed Ski Week package. Here’s what you’ll get: Lodging Sunday-Thursday nights at choice of Boyne Highlands Resort or Boyne Mountain Resort; breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily; unlimited lift ticket, Monday-Friday; two-hour group lessons, Monday-Friday (for ages 9 and up); and tubing for ages five and up — check at each lodge for times.

In addition, children ages 8 and under sleep, ski/ride and eat breakfast free; meals and lessons are a la carte.  Kids ages 9-15 receive deeply discounted rates. This all-inclusive starts at $533 per person, per night.

Can’t make it for a week? Try the daily Ski & Stay package, which includes: Lodging at choice of Boyne Highlands Resort or Boyne Mountain Resort; unlimited lift ticket; hot breakfast; and tubing for ages five and up — check each lodge for times.

Juniors ages 9-15, receive reduced rates and ages 8 and under sleep, ski/ride and eat breakfast for free, all starting at $107 per person, per night.

A daily midweek lift ticket at Boyne without a package starts at $53 alone, so bundling your stay is the way to go.

New this season, you'll find more snow, guaranteed, on Boyne's 115 combined runs with the addition of 40 snow guns, once the cold stays. There are new Burton Riglet Snowboard parks for three- to six-year-olds, with private and group instruction available.

There’s a new Burton store at Boyne Mountain, a new spa at Boyne Highlands, great renovated rooms at Boyne Mountain’s venerable Clock Tower Lodge plus an expanded tubing park, as well as guided winter fly fishing trips through Boyne Outfitters. And, don’t forget Boyne Mountain’s Avalanche Bay indoor water park.

Enough to keep you busy the entire ski week, and more. Check out all the deals here.
