Like the town it calls home, Aspen’s Limelight Hotel has seen loads of changes, upgrades, ski bums, ski celebrities, and just about everything you could imagine from a historic ski town. The latest transformation makes the Limelight a modern, stylishly decorated, enjoyable hangout just a few blocks from the slopes.
The Limelight Hotel is offering a Ski Free Package for the season where you can receive up to two lift tickets per day with a three-night minimum stay this winter. The lift tickets are valid at all four of the ski areas, Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk.
This is the second year the Limelight has offered the package, thanks to its recent purchase by the Aspen Skiing Company. Sally Spaulding, Public Relations Manager with Aspen Skiing Company, says, “It’s very popular for guests – especially those with families! It makes skiing much more affordable in Aspen. I think many of our guests chose the hotel because of this offer.” Spaulding adds that there isn’t a cutoff date to book. “If the deal is open when a guest wants to book, we’ll extend it.”
The deal is based upon availability with some blackout dates, with the price dependant on the dates and room type, as suites are more expensive than regular guest rooms. Rates in January start at $285 per night.
Limelight guests can also take advantage of “Inside Tracks,” and ski or ride with Aspen’s top professionals. They can also join “First Tracks,” which allows guests of the hotel exclusive access to Aspen Mountain before the opening of the gondola to the general public. The Limelight Hotel is also pet-friendly, so bring the pooch for an extra $25 per pet, per night.
