Drive up to Silver Star Mountain Resort, and the colorful western village stands out against the white snow. This year, skiers and riders can experience the ambiance earlier than usual. The resort has announced an early opening for this winter and is offering discounts for those who book in November for winter ski trips.

Snow hit Silver Star in late October. The early season snowfall boosted plans to open the resort on Nov. 22, just in time for U.S. skiers and riders to celebrate Thanksgiving on the slopes.

The resort is also offering a discount for early bookings. To get the discount, reservations must be made by Nov. 18. Discounts are only available in select lodging options throughout the resort.

Reservations made for midweek stays can get up to 35 percent off. The discount is available for Sunday through Thursday stays of two nights or more. At least two days of skiing must be in the package, too. Bookings made for weekends can get up to 25 percent off.

The special discount is available for stays until Feb. 8, 2013, with the exception of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, Dec. 21, 2012 to Jan. 2, 2013. The early booking discount is also available only for Canadians and U.S. residents of the Pacific Northwest. Inquire about other restrictions with Silver Star Holidays.
