Oregon’s Mt. Hood Meadows beefed up their season pass lineup this year. More season passes have been added to offer more options for skiers and riders. But those who want to get the best rates need to purchase them by Nov. 4, 2012.

Most of the season passes are discounted during the sale for 9 to 48 percent off, depending on the product. The adult season pass costs $524 on sale. With an adult lift ticket costing $74 off peak and $89 on peak days, passholders can use the value of the pass within six to seven days. Discounts are also available for other age groups.

In addition to age group passes, Mt. Hood Meadows sells several other passes for midweek and night skiing. The midweek pass, which costs $429, is valid for skiing Mondays through Fridays. It allows for lift access on less crowded days.

A new type of midweek pass has been added to the lineup, too. The midweek plus pass, which costs $379, allows the passholder to ski on weekends and peaks days in addition to Mondays through Fridays. With the new RFID technology at the lifts, the passholder is automatically charged $59 for weekends and $79 for peak days. That is a $10 to $15 discount off the ticket window rates.

Blackout dates apply to both types of midweek passes. They are not valid Dec. 26-31, 2012.

Other season passes can be purchased for use on a specific number of days during the season. A 10-time pass is available for $419. A 5-time night pass is sold for $94.

For skiing under the stars, a full night skiing pass, known as the Meadows After Dark Night Pass, costs $129. Passholders can ride any night during the season when the lifts operate. Night skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows is scheduled Wednesdays through Sundays until 9 p.m. Passholders may begin loading the lifts at 3 p.m. Night skiing is scheduled to run through March 24, 2013.

Mt. Hood Meadows opens for the season as soon as snow permits, usually around Thanksgiving. Its regular season is scheduled to end daily operations April 28, 2013. Season passes for Mt. Hood Meadows can be purchased online here.
