Don your best zombie attire this weekend at Park City Mountain Resort and get ready for a killer winter season. The fourth annual Thriller Snow Dance will go down at Main Street’s Town Lift Plaza on Saturday, Oct. 27 as kids and adults summon the snow gods to the tune of Michael Jackson’s frighteningly memorable song.
With MJ’s “Thriller” setting the mood for the evening, the folks at Park City Resort will provide step-by-step moves for anyone participating in the Thriller dance. From 4:30-6:30pm, learn Michael Jackson’s signature choreography and get dressed for the occasion with free zombie face painting.
At 7:00pm sharp, the walking dead will come alive for a final performance that will frighten the wooly tunic off Ullr, the Nordic god of snow, and convince him to bestow his wintry goods upon the resort.
Ullr must already be spooked, since he’s already been leaving his bounty in Park City this week. With wintry weather expected to continue in Utah throughout the week, snow totals are quickly accumulating, already reaching measurements totaled in feet at resorts like Snowbasin and Powder Mountain, just north of Park City. After last winter’s shortcomings, let's hope that Ullr just needs a "thrilling" reminder to pay Utah a visit.
Costumes are encouraged.
