Boreal Mountain Resort will kick off the 2012/2013-winter season, for skiing and riding on Friday, October 26, 2012. Two feet of snow dropped on Boreal during this early season storm, allowing for the mountain to open early.

Castle Peak Quad chairlift will run from 9 am to 9 pm, marking the fourth consecutive year Boreal has given eager skiers and snowboarders a resort to enjoy in the month of October. The chair will give access to one run containing several terrain park features.

The mountain will remain open through the weekend and mid-week operations will be determined on Sunday, conditions permitting.
