From inbounds at Grand Targhee Resort, many visitors covet the 600-acre, wide-open Peaked Mountain playground reserved for cat skiers and snowboarders, but a day price of $350 may be a bit too steep for some. Don’t fret. For less than that, you can cat ski Peaked Mountain early season, with lodging and lift skiing thrown in too.
You can choose between two early season snowcat packages, a three night and four night package. Both are available from opening day--which is scheduled for Nov. 23, 2012--through Dec. 20.
The three-night early season snowcat package includes a full day of cat skiing, a day of lift skiing, and three nights of lodging. Rates for the package start at $279 per person.
The four-night early season snowcat package bundles up one full day of cat skiing, two days of lift tickets, and four nights of lodging. Rates for this package start at $301 per person, a price still less than the regular full day cat ski rate.
