The skiers and snowboarders of the Spokane area have a right nice backyard playground in 49 Degrees North.

The resort is fairly large, boasting an 1,851-foot vertical drop with 68 marked trails spread over 2,325 acres. Its six lifts - a quad, four double-chairs, and a surface lift - can ferry a little more than 6,000 skiers and snowboarders uphill per hour.

But one of the better things about 49 Degrees North is its lift-ticket prices: $48 weekends and $42 midweek for adults (18 to 64 years old).

You can save a ton of money by taking advantage of one of several (or all) of 49 Degrees North lift-ticket deals. Start off by dropping by any one of the Papa John's restaurants in Spokane, Moscow, Pullman and Coeur d'Alene and picking up a Two-Fer-Tuesday voucher and get two lift tickets for the price of one on any Tuesday until March 24.

Or perhaps you can take advantage of the Shell 2 for 1 vouchers: Buy 10 gallons of gas at a participating Shell service station and get voucher good for two lift tickets for the price of one.

Bring a season pass from any other resort to 49 Degrees North and get a lift ticket for $20 during the resort's Share the Love Tuesdays promotion.
