There are 23km (15 miles) of runs on the Plateau Rosa glacier including a half pipe in the Gravity Park, served by a dozen lifts including Europe's two highest lifts, only open in the summer, and the world's only cross-border six-seat chairlift. There are 12 runs, nine of them reds (intermediate level) and three easy blues. Lift tickets cost 38 Euros for a day with children under 16 paying half price.

Skiing contimnues year round at Zermatt over a maximum summer vertical of 960m down to 2939m at Trockner Steg.

The vertical down piste number 7 (graded red) on the Cervinia side is the third biggest lift-served in the world in July and August, beaten only by southern hemisphere resorts Argentina's Las Leñas (1174m), and Catedral (1150m).
