Snowmaking across Grindelwald's ski area has now been extended to cover 40km (25 miles) or 25% of the total 160km (100 miles) of runs. A new reservoir is being created at Fallboden to accommodate the addition water requirements.

The improvements are part of a €20m investment by Jungfrau Railways and is part of a rolling programme of upgrades scheduled to continue over coming years.

The Jungfrau regional lift ticket, as well as those for individual areas within the full pass region - which includes the skiing of Murren, Grindelwald and Wengen (43 lifts and 213km/140 miles of trails) , remains ‘frozen' at 2006-7 prices. A six day pass costs 295 Swiss Francs for adults - currently approximately 190 Euros.
