Haakonsen, who needs no introduction, showed up at Oslo Town Hall to present his case. Armed with a few tons of snow, and with the help of some up and coming riders including Ulrik Badertscher, Haakonsen made what has got to be one of the smallest ever demo-ridden quarter pipes. To impress the big wigs in the Oslo city council, Terje did a McTwist, which will go down in history as one of the lowest ones ever.

Haakonsen wants the city of Oslo to invest money into a state-of-the-art snowboard arena in the Norwegian capital, and also to host a TTR World Championship. The Arctic Challenge, Terje's own event, was of course what kick-started the whole TTR Tour, so there would be no person more fitting to host a future championship than Haakonsen.
