Summer skiing is possible over 110 hectares of pistes on a 4090m vertical between 3,200 and 3,600 metres with superb summer panoramic views over 11 weeks from June 14th to August 30th 2008.

In the 2007 summer season, visitors made some 2 516 045 ascents to the 2 Alpes glacier (during the winter ski season this figure is nearly 18 million). Some come to ski just for the day or maybe a weekend.
Professional skiers and ski clubs who come each year to train for the winter sports competitions. The Italians, who are great ski aficionados, are popular visitors to les 2 Alpes, as are dedicated « freestylers » who practice their daredevil skills in the snowpark throughout the summer months (representing 40% of the resort's clientele).

Les 2 Alpes is one of the main remaining summer ski destinations but like mot ski resorts, offers many other summer non-snow activities, which are increasingly popular. None more so than mountain biking which since 2000 has seen a dramatic transformation of the area into a major summer Alpine mountain
biking location. The figures speak for themselves with numbers soaring from 20,000 bikers visiting in 2003 to 200,000 four years later in 2007.
