Lifts are operational from 8am to 4pm serving two intermediate graded runs on the glacier at an altitude of between 2700 and 3000m. Heavy snowfall in recent days has built the snow base up to as high at 180cm (six feet).
The ski centre is the fifth Italian resort to open for winter 2008-9, joining Bormio and Cervinia which opened a week ago, and the summer glacier ski areas of Passo Stelvio and Val Senales.
