Then there's the 2010 Winter Olympics, now only a season away, for which most of the on-snow events are to be staged in the resort.
The resort's snowphone team, Alex and Stephen, are pictured measuring the latest 15cm (Six inches) of snow to fall, using what are believed to be the latest in high technology state of the art snow-depth measuring X ray spectacles.
In celebration of the season, Episode 1 of the Whistler Blackcomb Snowcast, is now online. In this episode, we ask people what their favourite excuse is to call in sick on a powder day and get the inside scoop on some of the upcoming events. To view: visit whistler blackcomb.com/podcast
