More action in store for the West this weekend and both the Midwest and the Northeast get a bite of the Arctic bug. RC
As I mentioned yesterday, winter has returned to the region and the trend continues through the weekend. Rain and mountain snow (up to a foot in the Sierra) dominate the region on Friday and are set to continue through at least Sunday. Make sure to plan ahead for road trips and allow extra time to get to and from your destination. Highs from the teens in the mountains to the upper 50's at the coast.
Light snow is in the forecast for northern New England on Friday and unsettled weather remains in the forecast through Sunday with lake effect snow taking center stage. Look for highs from the mid teens to the mid 30's through the weekend.
A chilly weekend (by normal standards) is in store for the region, but for those that have dealt with ice storms and power outages recently it's more of a walk in the park. Light snow in the mix for Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Dakotas through the weekend with highs from the mid teens to the mid 30's.
