This is obviously great news for the rest of the winter, but in the short term the centre has been battling with avalanche dangers and drifting snow on the access rods which forced it to stay closed yesterday due to the stormy conditions.
Temperatures forecast to remain at or below freezing and with the holiday crowds now departed, this is a good time to visit, with excellent cover form top to bottom.
"The snow is dry and crunchy on the pisted runs, the M1 and Cas have perfectly groomed powder." Said a CairnGorm spokesperson.
The top bowls were pisted but have recently been closed due to avalanche danger so it is essential to check on their status and to observe warning signs.
