Action is back in the West, a cool day in store for the Northeast and things are quiet today in the Midwest. RC
As with many things in the region over the last few weeks, yet another twist is in store today as a system that was stalled in the Pacific begins to make its way inland. As the day progresses, rain makes its way into California and brings a chance of mountain snow (above 6500 feet) for the Sierra. The system is set to continue through at least tomorrow, bringing cooler temps along with it. Look for highs today from the mid 20's in the mountains to the low 50's along the California coast.
Another cool and quiet day in the region, which is a welcome change from the beating over the last few weeks. While you'll need to bundle up if you head to the slopes, things should be snow free until tomorrow as another system makes its way down from Canada. Highs today from the mid 20's to the mid 30's.
After a busy holiday weekend, things quiet down a bit in the region today. Outside of the potential for action in parts of PA and Western New York state, mostly clear skies and chilly temps are the theme for the day. Highs from the mid teens in Northern New England to the mid 30's further south.
