Flaine's ‘Poker Nights' will be staged from January 15 to 21, 2011 and will involve games of Texas Hold'em poker. Professional dealers and real poker tables will be in the resort for the occasion and there will be free workshops for anyone who's never played before.

All tournaments and activities are completely free.

Anyone can challenge their friends to a game of cards and walk away with any number of prizes including a week-end of skiing at Flaine (accommodation and ski passes), Flaine game kits, accessories and more.

New this year is ‘Ladies night,' a tournament reserved for the fairer sex, who are taking up this game in increasing numbers. There'll be no ‘Childrens' Night' though as in compliance with the law access to the poker room is forbidden to minors less than 18 years old.

Flaine in Haute Savoie is part of the huge Grand Massif ski area, one of the largest interlinked ski domains in France, offering 265km of ski slopes, with a clear view of Mont-Blanc, as well as easy access from Geneva airport, just an hour away. Its altitude and geographical location guarantee excellent snowfall, with more than three meters of snow on average still lying at the end of the season at an altitude of 2500m.
