The Salomon Jib Academy hits Seven Springs Saturday, Feb. 7 for a day of free instruction.

The Salomon Jib Academy is a global tour of slopestyle ski events for athletes 16 years old and younger. Participants ski in groups all morning with a Salomon pro coach learning new tricks and meeting other skiers.

In the afternoon there is a 10-12 person final jam session where tons of great prizes will be given out including the Grand Prize trip to Mammoth Mountain for the Jib Academy Final.

Jib Academies are rider judged and all levels of freestylers are encouraged to participate. There is no entry fee, but participants must register on the Saloman Jib Academy site.

Athletes must be 16, have a lift ticket, wear a helmet and have a waiver (available on the Web site) signed by parent or guardian.

If you register for Jib Academy and are unable to attend the event please contact Jenny Naftulin so that someone else can take your spot, at or 801-624-7570.
