Heavy snow across the Pyrenees has brought powder heaven to the southern European muntain range this weekend.
Among the big winners are Baqueira Beret, one of Spain's top resorts, wich scored 100cm (3.3 feet) of new snow in 48 hours just in time for the weekend. All of the resort;s lifts are operational and 85% of the runs are open.
"The resort's snow base is now between 125 and 195cm," said Baqueira Beret Ski Resort spokeswoman Josi Martinez who also said that the resort is currently demo-ing 2011-12 season skis and boards.
On the French side of the mountains it's been goo to with mot receorts receiving a metre of snow during the past week too. PIau Engaly ski centre currently has an accumulated based of 135cm - the mot snow in the past week in Europe.
In Andorra resorts have received smaller falls but still good accumulations greatly boostingvsno cover.
