Each team of 6 commits to raise a minimum of £666. The challenge is to ski or board 666 runs in 6 hours at one of 6 UK indoor ski slopes.
The team names are at least as interesting as the challenge: Totally Piste, The Fast and The Feeble, Go Like The Clappers, Where Eagles Dare, Poles Apart and Après-Ski Specialists are just a few of them. Employees are from all sectors of the business including designers, directors, accountants, IT specialists, sales consultants, customer services and recruitment managers .
Crystal and DSUK have worked together since 2009, with the express aim of using Crystal’s influence as number 1 ski operator in the UK to increase awareness, improve accessibility and provide in-resort assistance for disabled skiers. As the UK’s largest ski tour operator, Crystal Ski wanted to give something back to the community and give disabled people the opportunity to enjoy the sport we at Crystal all love so much: skiing and snowboarding.
Crystal Ski has been raising well over £50,000 since then through numerous events including annual Santa Runs (which involves running through London’s Battersea Park dressed as Santa Claus), Skiathons, in-resort events and customers donating their lift pass deposit.
