Val Thorens is hosting numerous events to suit children and teenagers throughout the winter season, with Teenagers' Week, the second Luge Cup, and Easter Week festivities.

Val Thorens is dedicating the week of Feb. 14-21, 2009 completely to teenagers. Teenagers' Week is bursting with activities for 12- to 16-year-olds. Activities include a graphic competition on skis or snowboarders where the winner actually wins the equipment that he/she has drawn, competitions in the snowpark and on the Jump'Air, hip hop demos, and themed evenings.

Families will enjoy the Val Thorens' second Luge Cup April 8, 2009. The resort organises a unique tobogganing competition on the longest toboggan run in France with six kilometres of decent for different categories: Child, adult, couples, and pros. The start of the toboggan run is located at the foot of the imposing Peclet Glacier at 3000 metres and the course features banked turns and variously angled pitches. This activity is suitable to both adults and children over eight years of age, (children 8-12 ride tandem with an adult). Families can rent a luge, helmets, and a headlamp throughout the winter season. The course is patrolled and groomed regularly each day.

Younger children will enjoy Easter Week April 11-18, 2009. There will be a massive distribution of chocolate eggs, a teddy bear parade, treasure hunt, and numerous other surprises for children. Other activities for children in Val Thorens include the Fun Park with trampolines, bouncy castles, and plastic balls, as well as the Aquaclub with its swimming pool, jets, waterfalls, and paddling pool.
