The shred day was aimed at those looking to learn basic freestyle skiing and snowboarding skills and to get out on the hill in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
The participants gained confidence through quality instruction and loads of encouragement from coaches Katie Jahachy, Beth Woodall, Vicki Mayes, Jen Surma, Kerrie Dickson and Rio Peterson.
Roxy sponsored the event, giving away goodie bags to all the participants.
Kerrie Dickson a local coach was thoroughly impressed with the turn out and effort Cairngorm Snowboard Club, Snowsport Scotland and CairnGorm Mountain had put in to make it such a success.
"The all girl atmosphere provided a platform where girls could try out new tricks without being embarrassed or intimidated as freestyle parks can normally be. The all girl coaches gave the girls something to relate to and made the atmosphere electric! Everyone was cheering each other on and wanted to see the girls progress. Girls that hadn't done boxes before were doing board slides by the afternoon which is an astounding achievement," she said.
