In its 5th year the festival has added a new item for 2012 - Pro riders are given 96 hours to create, produce and direct a short film showcasing their best free style tricks, moves and skills - all of which must have taken place in and around the vast playground of the la Plagne ski area. Each team is mentored by a key ambassador from the film industry to help and guide them in the creation of their masterpiece.
There's a prize pot of 10,000€ up for grabs and the judging panel includes Oscar winning producer/director of Indochine, Régis Warnier who will pick the winning film with four other personalities from the world of winter sports and cinema.
During the festival visitors and public can also enjoy Winter Urban Plagne Festival and mountain-themed film screenings. Not to mention, try out the brand new skis/boards for 2013 as part of the ski and board test.
