The King of the Hill Celebrity Boardercross and rock fest returns to Mountain High. The King of the Hill Celebrity Boardercross and rock fest returns to Mountain High.

If you've ever had the desire to school some of your guitar heroes, you'll have an opportunity to do so in Mountain High's fourth annual King of the Hill Celebrity Boardercross Feb. 21.

The event will feature riders from all skill levels and various facets of the entertainment industry competing on an intermediate CBX course. Entry is open to all and costs $25, which includes a one-time USASA membership, an all-day lift ticket, and a buffet breakfast. All contestants must have a helmet and check in at the main lodge at 7 a.m.

Prizes awarded three deep after the race, and there will be additional giveaways, including a Herr Vaughnster carbon-fiber snowboard and Mountain High season passes.

For the less competitive types, there will be an all-day music stage set up to feature the sounds of the Skeletones, Inhale, Wes Coast Rock School, Budah Bomb, Warsaw, and more.

The King of The Hill Celebrity Boardercross this year is dedicating itself to supporting youth and music, both of which are being underserved at local schools because of budget cutbacks. To that end, the event will feature bands made up of kids 17 and under who will perform in the Kids Rock The Rock portion of the program.
