Resorts of the Canadian Rockies recently added a new lift ticket to their line up - the RCR Express Ticket. The card is valid for use at Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, and Nakiska.

The RCR Express Ticket is meant for those who don't want to stand in line at the ticket window. You can go directly to the lift at any of the three resorts. Scanning at the lift will charge your credit card automatically for the day's lift ticket. You can track your ski days and credit card charges online.

Getting an RCR Express Ticket, a plastic card that looks similar to a season pass, costs nothing. It's free. Your credit card is charged only when you board a lift.

Each card requires a photo, so you'll need to have your RCR Express Ticket produced at the RCR Calgary office or at any of the three resorts. You'll also be asked to sign a waiver and present your credit card when you get your picture taken.

Cardholders also receive extra perks. You can receive 20 percent off food orders 3 - 5:30 p.m. at Kelsey's on the Mountain at Fernie and Kimberley. You can get the same discount at the Finish Line at Nakiska. Cardholders are also eligible for RCR Rewards.
