The slopes at Blue Mountain, Ontario, turn into one big ski and snowboard party during the annual college and university week, scheduled for Feb. 16-20. The week, sponsored by Coors Light, features discounts on lift tickets and après ski goodies.

"The week offers a mix of skiing, snowboarding, and leisure," public relations specialist Kelly O'Neil told, "and the resort fills up with the younger crowd. But it's not just about hanging out at the bars because there's lots of skiing and snowboarding."

College and university students can purchase lift tickets during the week for $39. The tickets are good for both day and night skiing from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Regular day/night lift tickets cost $66.) You must show valid college ID to buy the $39 tickets.

"Typically the week is a great time to come out to ski for affordable rates," added O'Neil. "The restaurants and bars cater to students and welcome them to the resort." Jozo's plans to run an après ski special of perogies and beer for $10, and participating village venues also offer specials.

You can win prizes during the week. Look for the Coors Light Ski Team and the Coors Light Ski/Snow Bunnies to snag some swag.
