Lisa Densmore Brings Women's Clinic To Sun Valley Feb. 6-8

Skiing with women isn't all black and white Skiing with women isn't all black and white

Sun Valley Resort is offering a women's ski clinic February 6-8, 2009, hosted by Lisa Densmore. The clinic is designed for intermediate to expert women alpine skiers who want to improve their ski technique, broaden their ski experience, and enjoy the camaraderie of other women while exploring Bald Mountain. Densmore is the founder, host and coordinator of the Head Women's Ski Clinics. She is a former member of the U.S. Ski Team and Women's Pro Ski Tour, an award-winning journalist, author and expert on ski gear and skiing technique.

The clinic will include a day of basic instruction and skiing on groomed runs, a day of exploring new terrain, and a day of learning to ski race gates.

The goals of the clinic are for women to share an enjoyable skiing experience with a supportive group of new friends and female instructors, develop ways to deal with fear and build self-confidence, improve personal skiing with the help of positive instructor feedback, and to ski the miles necessary to improve and achieve personal goals. This is also a good way for skiers to familiarize themselves with Bald Mountain.

The cost of the three-day clinic is $550 and includes a welcome cocktail reception, five hours of instruction each day from experienced female ski coaches including Densmore, demo gear, lunch each day at River Run Lodge, positive and supportive video analysis and critique, gift bags for all participants, and an après ski party on the last day of the clinic to celebrate success.

Space is limited, and interested parties are encouraged to register early. Register online or call 208- 622-2289.
