The Snowside Festival 2009 is making its highly anticipated debut in Nassfeld, Austria. This mountainside party, organised by The Secret Garden Party and Eddy Temply Morris' The Remix, will take place March 23-29, 2009.
The official Web site says: ‘In its purest form, Snowside is a musical and arts festival and a ski and snowboard holiday. It's a chance to enjoy the speed and thrills of your seasonal mountain-shredding fix - but beyond that - a party experience conjured by experts in radical, life-affirming events. And of course, it's an opportunity to spend a week enjoying the company of hundreds of like-minded adventurers."
Snowside is a small and intimate festival of only 1000 people. ‘Snowsiders' can expect border-crossing parties late into the night, moonlit lakeside jaunts, midnight skiing, spectacular shows, and mysterious mountainside adventures.
The event will feature live music from Shy Child, Infadels, Evil Nine, Kissy Sell Out, Slagsmalsklubben, The Japanese Popstars, A. Human, Man Like Me, and The Losers, as well as big-name DJs.
Nassfeld is one of Austria's top 10 skiing areas. The resort offers access to 110 kilometres of pistes, from beginners' slopes to a world cup piste, linked by 30 ski lifts, featuring the Millennium Express - the longest cable car in the Alps - which takes passengers up to the Sonnenalpe Nassfeld (2772 metres altitude) in just 17 minutes.
