Facelift For Austria's Schladming

Schladming ski resort Schladming ski resort

Schladming has made significant improvements to its ski area, including a brand new lift, two new slopes, and a large car park.

The new Sun Jet lift on the Hochwurzen is made up of both chairs and cabins; after three chairs comes a secured cabin. These combination lifts offer advantages to everyone, from families with children who prefer using the cabin lifts because they are safer and more comfortable to experienced skiers who don't want to take off their skis can take a chairlift.

Schladming also has introduced two new slopes with a direct connection to four other slopes. There is also a brand new car park; the Planai Car Park offers 457 parking spaces over six floors and has access to the slopes from every parking level. Parking here is free of charge to skiers to Schladming. That's a special benefit.

Schaldming is part of the Dachstein-Tauern ski area with access to 41 pistes. The resort itself offers 170 kilometres of runs lined with 120 snow cannons. Schladming's 25 ski lifts can transport 63,900 skiers and snowboarders per hour. Skiing here is particularly well suited to intermediate and expert skiers with six blue runs, 18 red, and one black.
