Catch The Revolution Tour At Meadows Feb. 20-22

The Revolution Tour stops at Mt. Hood. The Revolution Tour stops at Mt. Hood.

There's a Revolution coming to Mt. Hood Meadows, and it's one you won't want to miss.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association is conducting its annual nationwide test to find and identify the country's finest young (13 and older) park and pipe riders, and the Revolution Tour, as USSA likes to call it, is making one of its stops this season at Mt. Hood Meadows Feb. 20-22.

The Revolution kicks off with a boardercross race on Friday, continues with a halfpipe competition on Saturday, and concludes with a slopestyle event on Sunday. The latter two contests are 3-star events on the Ticket to Ride world snowboard tour.

Half the field will consist of prequalified athletes of both genders, with the rest of the field filled out in open registration (go to ussa.org to find out how) for riders who hold a current USSA membership ($120) and FIS license ($80) before the event takes place.

The Revolution Tour, which is in its sixth season of attempting to bridge the gap from grassroots competition to the elite level, is a stepping to greater things in that it used to qualify athletes for World Junior, U.S. Open, U.S. World Cup, and USASA National competitions and Project Gold camps.
