All month at Waterville Valley two ski and ride for the price of one on Mondays and Fridays.

Skiers and riders spin the Wheel of Deals for a chance to win ski lessons, lunch, and more, in addition to the twofer. This deal excludes MLK Monday Jan. 19, and is offered on adult all-mountain all-day lift tickets only.

January Thursdays are two-for-one days at the Waterville Valley Nordic Center. Buy one lift ticket, receive a second free.

Saturday nights in January are Kids Nights Out. Waterville offers an active evening for ages 7-12, 7 to 9 p.m. in conjunction with the Town of Waterville Valley Recreation Department. Cost: $8 per person. Reservations recommended by calling 603-236-4695.

Also in January, it's Curious George Cottage Studio in Town Square Saturday afternoons. Families can drop in to the Curious George Cottage Studio for Curious George Story Time at 3:30 p.m. The studio presents chalk-talks and informal drawing sessions from 4 to 7 p.m. There also are areas for children and parents to draw, read Curious George books and play.
