First Snowsports Festival Jan. 24-25 In Seefeld

The Snowsports Festival will take place for the first time Jan. 24-25, 2009 in Seefeld, Austria. The latest winter sports equipment will be exhibited and tested at the event, including cross-country skis, snowshoes, and Nordic walking sticks, in the large exhibition area next to the Olympia Sport and Congress Centre.
A programme of guided tours for cross-country skiing and snowshoe walking is offered together with various training courses in winter sports related subjects. There are also competitive events, including the first CRAFT 24-hour Cross Country Skiing Race, the Atlas Snow Walk, and the XC Junior Trophy for the future stars of cross-country skiing.
The start and finish line of the CRAFT 24-hour Skiing Race is located in the cross-country skiing stadium. It costs €90 per person for teams of up to two people and €80 per person for teams of between 3 and 6. You can register for the Atlas Snow Walk online and shoes will be available to borrow at the site. There is also an Atlas snow walk for kids.
Other highlights of the Snowsports Festival include a fashion show, interviews, and live music. Visitors to the Snowsports Festival can enjoy free entrance to the event.
