Jackson Hole Mountain Resort confirmed reports that an inbound avalanche tumbled off the Headwall about 9:30 a.m. Monday morning (Dec. 29). The resort has been partially shut down until further notice. The avalanche above the Bridger Restaurant occurred naturally after the resort's ski patrol completed one avalanche hazard reduction route.
The area of the mountain was not open to the public yet, but resort officials conducted a search for employees and accounted for everyone.
