Ski Amade, one of the world's largest ski areas, is to organize a special week for ladies at the end of March, which will also bring discounts as well as special events.

It is very definitely ladies' choice from 29th March to 5th April, 2009 on the slopes of the region's ski resorts.

During this week, carefully selected lodging establishments pay special attention to their female guests. They give them a complimentary six-day ski pass, along with other great treats such as a full day to test the latest ski equipment and one day of guided skiing.

There'll be plenty of fun off the slopes as well. The entertainment programme ranges from cool fashion shows, to parties at mountain lodges, to night-time hikes by torchlight.

Ladies Week is available in all five ski regions of Ski Amadé with packages starting at 404 Euro (per lady, based on double occupancy, at a four-star hotel).

Ski Amadé's five ski regions encompass 270 lifts, 860km (540 miles) of slopes - all on one ticket. The five regions are the Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig and Großarltal. The region begins just one hour from the ‘Mozart City' of Salzburg.

Among the impressive 'totals' for Skiverbund Amadé' are 6 fun parks, 11 half pipes and more than 30 toboggan runs. There are 13 six-seater chairs accessible on the ticket.

Most of the resorts on the Ski Amadé pass are in Salzburgerland, including Herman Maier's home region of Flachau which runs the world's most six-seater chairs. However the highest lifts, peaking at Ramsau's Dachstein glacier at 2700m (8860 feet) are in the half dozen resorts in Steiermark/Styria that also participate in the new pass.
