Major league Christmas cheer for the West, wind and showers for the Northeast and one more round for parts of the Midwest. RC

Another system pounds the region today, arriving on a large scale. This system covers areas from the Northwest all the way down to the California mountains and east to the Rockies. Mountains in all regions could see well over a foot of snow today, with high wind and blizzard warnings in effect. Travel safe today and be prepared for road delays. Highs mid 20's to mid 30's.

More lake effect snow in store for southern Michigan today, with areas in the region getting 3 to 7 more inches of snow before things slow down today. The rest of the Midwest gets a bit of a break today, but showers and high winds remain in the forecast. Look for things to stay chilly as well, with highs mid teens to mid 30's.

A break from the snow and ice today as that nasty storm working the region this week begins to make its way out. Showers and winds up to 40 mph are in the forecast today and things do continue to be on the cool side with highs in the mid 30's.

Happy holidays to you and yours from the Williams family!
