Wyoming's Snow King Resort is offering a ski package for skiers and snowboarders who want the convenience of staying near the buzz in downtown Jackson Hole and the intimacy of skiing a smaller hill.
The ski free package includes one night of lodging at Snow King Resort, lift tickets for Snow King Ski Area, breakfast buffet in the Atrium Restaurant at the resort, and airport transfers. The $69.50 rate per person is based on double occupancy and is good through Mar. 26.
Snow King is known for short, steep slopes with 1,571 vertical feet. About 60 percent of its 400 acres is rated as advanced, but the resort also has beginner terrain for those just starting out and a new terrain park for the jib crowd. The lifts are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sundays and Mondays.
The resort also runs a tubing hill and an ice skating rink on site. (You'll have to pay for these activities with the Ski Free Package.) You also can hop to town on local buses or walk the few blocks to Jackson Town Square.
