Stephanie and Christian Nielson were in a small plane crash along with their flight instructor, Doug Kinnear, near St. Johns, Ariz. Saturday Aug. 16, 2008. Doug died soon after arriving at the Maricopa County Hospital. Christian sustained burns on over 30 percent of his body, his wife Stephanie's body was burned over 80 percent. Now, their insurance has run out and the hospital bills keep coming.

Their story hit across the country; from local Salt Lake stations to the Today Show and People Magazine. Stephanie has maintained a blog, the NieNie Dialogues about her life at home as a wife and mom for the past four years. It has become very popular and since this accident it is now receiving 30,000 hits per day.

Sundance Resort, where Stephanie was a ski instructor, has organized a ski day to help make a difference for the Nielson family. When you donate $100 Jan. 8, you'll get a day on the slopes at Sundance with complimentary lunch from the Pizza Factory and ski/snowboard rentals from Canyon Sports and the Nielsens' will get hope. All proceeds will be donated to their recovery fund.

Just fill out the form to make your donation and reserve your equipment. Your credit card will be charged $100 per skier/snowboarder on your reservation. After your donation/reservation is successfully submitted, you will receive an e-mail with a link to your receipt confirming your reservation. Though not required, we recommend that you bring a printout of this receipt when you pickup your equipment at Sundance Resort Jan. 8.
