One of the most enchanting holiday events in Utah will be at Snowbasin. The Christmas Eve family oriented festival, T'was the Night Before Christmas Celebration, will be held at the base area. It starts off with a Christmas Eve meal in the warmth of Earl's Lodge as you wait and watch for the arrival of Santa Claus and the torchlight parade.

The Plaza Christmas tree lighting is accompanied by caroling and The Grizzly Shop and staff will be ready to assist all of you last minute shoppers with items to put under the tree and as stocking stuffers. You and your family will find yourself filled with wonder at Rudolph's fireworks display illuminating the sky and reflecting on the snow. You can revel in the Christmas spirit by joining in song with the carolers.

Santa arrives at 6 p.m., the tree lights up, the parade starts, and the fireworks burst at 6:30 p.m., Caroling and dinner go from 4 - 8 p.m. Dinner's not free so call the resort for reservations and prices.

You can enjoy a sumptuous meal at The Basin every Saturday throughout the ski season, even if you can't make it Christmas Eve. Needles Lodge holds court around their weekly buffet with a selection of hot and cold items, soup, and fresh desserts. Dinner is from 4:30- 9 p.m. Cost is $45 for adults; $22.50 youth 6-12; children 5 and under are free. Call (801) 620-1021 for reservations which are required.
